SportsEngine Registration: Woodbury Athletic Association

Welcome to the 2020 WAA Travel Baseball Tryout Registration with Woodbury Athletic Association!

This registration will allow you to provide contact information, enroll in appropriate age group, sign consents and submit payment.  Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.  To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available. The registration fee is $350.  If your child is placed on a team, this amount is non refundable.  A second and final payment will be made at uniform pick up, which happens in early April.

Tryout dates: Saturday Sept 14th and Sunday Sept 15th.

In order to play travel baseball, the player needs to be 9 years old on or before August 31, 2020. This was a change made from May 1st of each year to allow players with late spring and summer birthdays to play with their classmates.

This change only affects when a player can start playing travel baseball.  There is no change to the May 1st date being used for age group eligibility.

Age Eligibility Rules based on birth date

We have U9/U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15. The age bracket is listed below.

Any questions on enrollment, contact Rich Orbell at immediately.

May 1, 2009 - August 31, 2011

May 1, 2008 - April 30, 2009

May 1, 2007 - April 30, 2008

May 1, 2006 - April 30, 2007

May 1, 2005 - April 30, 2006

May 1, 2004 - April 30, 2005

The U9 and U10 are combined during tryouts, as we do not know what our total enrollment at those ages will be.  If we have enough to have separate U9 and U10 teams, we will do that.  If we need to combine at that age levels, that is an option as well.

For additional help, here are the grade levels that are often associated with each level. Grades represent what they will be going into for the upcoming school year.

U9/U10 - 3rd & 4th

U11 - 5th

U12 - 6th

U13 - 7th

U14 - 8th

U15 - 9th

Tryouts are mandatory to be placed on team, unless you have an injury and a doctor's authorization.  All registrants must attend both days. There will be a check in both days.

On Saturday there will be one session for each age group. The session will run from 8:00 - 12:00 pm.  Sunday's session will run from 8:30 -11:30am.

All tryout sessions are at Health East Sports Complex (formerly Bielenberg).

Registration Fees: $350

  • The registration fee covers part of the team's expenses for upcoming season.  The 2nd (and final) payment will be due in early April at uniform pick-up.

U9/U10 and U11 will check in at the concession stand near the black fields (31 - 34). See link to map below.  Be prepared to pick your child up as early as 11:30, as tryouts could end early depending on numbers.  We will have staff assigned at the black concessions stand to release players only when their parent and/or specified pick up person is there.  Parents are not admitted to the fields during the tryout process, only prospective coaches and tryout coordinators allowed.

U12 - U15 check in is at the the entrance to the white fields by the parking lot on the east side of the fieldhouse.
